There is a TSB regarding the rattle. I have it too...but never heard anything as specific as it being a single cylendar. The TSB changes the warm up cycle, I believe. It sounds like piston slap..and your update is motivating me to take it in now.

im not sure on the cost best is to call liberty, my trans was fried when i sent it to them so it required a good bit of work, im sure yours will be less expensive then mine, but it similar to their pricing on the tremics. Its not inexoensive but it is fair

I got an update...related or not I'm not sure. I got a rattle coming from the motor in cold weather for the first mile or two. The dealer tweaked the computer and got rid of some of the rattle but not all of it.
Well, the check engine light came on last week and I took it in. I had the cam shaft sensor fixed and I left...about 2 miles down the road I got a very loud ticking noise coming from the motor. I took it back...I was told it threw a barring and they are going to replace the whole motor; lucky me its still warranted. I actually think that part is awesome. But, I hope this ticking that people are hearing is not the first sign of a major problem like I had. At first it sounded like a sticking lifter...it turned out to be much worse. not sure if its related at all. but figured I would toss it out there.
