Default Thoughts on becoming a Whipple Crew member

Transfered funds today to secure a Whipple 624hp kit for my performance white 5.0. Unlike my last build, I will not be on a deployment watching from some far away land. Stage3motorsports will be doing the install and of course I will keep all posted. Thoughts and comments are welcomed...

are you planning on sticking with the stock internals? i've read some conflicting information about their capacity to handle forced induction.

typically the companies like whipple and KB do quite a bit of testing so 999 out of 1000 engines will be fine with their recommended tunes/performance. If whipple has a package and they say you don't need to upgrade anything they are probably right. Good luck, that is awesome how much these can hold compared to my 2007.. which is why im trading up

also, the 624hp kit is going to be something like 550whp right? a lot of tuners are saying that easily safe for the stock engine and transmission. assuming the tune isn't complete junk ofcourse.

something like 540-550 from what i am being told. I was going to pull the trigger on a vortech, but ultimately decided on the Whipple.

I'm in the same boat, tell me why you went the whipple instead of the procharger or vortech.

Well quite honestly, its a good looking kit. Presents an OEM look.
I had a TS on my old car...(saleen stage 3 kit courtesy of Brenspeed). I race from time to time and wanted what I deemed the most reliable setup. Hell it's a FRPP endorsed unit.
