Does anyone w/ a 2011 GT 6Spd NOT have the grinding problem?

Got mine in May 2010. No problems at all. Little notchy when cold but that is to be expected. Just let everything warm up before you bang on it. You should be kind to your car anyway.
I think you are somewhat paranoid about something that you may never see. Most cars have have some little thing in any case. If a problem comes up, deal with it and stop fretting. Or reading the forums.
Cheers.

I have 17k on mine and its always been a bit notchy going into 2nd and 3rd, but it hasn't gotten any worse since the beginning, so I'm not very concerned. Recently installed a Barton shifter and now I try to find excuses to shift more often.

my shifter was notchy. The factory shifter is a plastic ball and socket afair stuck to a piece of sheetmetal. My aftermarket is a machined billet assembly. Very smooth and percise at any rpm.Car delivered Oct 2010. I am currently on a road trip from Boston to Florida and return. Left with 1200 miles on the clock. Currently 6200 miles. Smooth

My 2011 GT was manufactured in September 2011 and has no issues whatsoever. This has to be one of the best shifting cars I have owned and believe me I have owned a lot of cars.
All the forum posts had me nervous as well but it seems Ford has worked out the issues.

Got mine in July went through 2 clutches 1st one at 2500 miles and second at 3100 miles. I now have 17400 mile and it's all GOOD. Don't worry Ford's engineers found the problem with the brake/clutche assembly got my 3rd one installed and it's perfect.

I'm still on the stock clutch/assembly at almost 12k. Got mine at the end of June '10. Haven't done much in the way of drag style racing. I find I have plenty of time to carefully choose my gear, and let the 412HP do all the work after that. I think the tranny has lost *some* of its edge since driving off the lot (it went from hot butter to warm butter). But it's leagues ahead of my old WRX in terms of smoothness.

Mine had a little bit of a notchy feel when it was cold out so I brought it to the dealer for the trans oil change TSB along with the TSB for the Fuel gauge. I left it for two weeks while I was out of town and when I picked it up it had a hitch in the clutch pedal near the top of the throw and the pedal sticks to the floor at high RPM shifts.
I have a feeling some of the techs had some fun and brought these problems to light.
They are ordering my new pedal assembly per the TSB, however I have a feeling the clutch is gone as well based on the feel of the throw.
Every car I have owned since 1997 has had a manual trans because I prefer them. However if I could do it again I would have gone with an auto since they seem to be very robust and without the hiccups the manual has.
