Wow...-R.U. Kidding Me -

? ? ? And you said the Procharger had some fit and finish issues ? ? ?

! ! ! Vortech has had to completely redesign the blower bracket ! ! !

Because not only are a bunch of people have had a really bad squealing sound coming from the one of the idler pulleys, but the belts also coming of as well.

Man, I can’t tell you how old this has gotten!

To top it off when I go to put the new bracket assembly I received from Vortech on, the 8mm x 100 button top Allen-head that bolt the bracket to the engine strips out.

Good luck trying to find that one without ordering from Vortech.

Really? I haven't heard that before. That's crazy. So maybe I'm happy I got my procharger after all!

I've only seen one Stage 1 kit and it does look like a rush job. I'm really glad I went with a Stage II because the routing is much better. Congrats to the OP on the Vortech, there are a couple of those floating around here. One of the cars was shredding belts on the dyno. He's a member so hopefully he'll comment.

I can't believe anyone could be unhappy with any means of forcedinduction .
I busted my cherry on my 2007 GT and now I don't think I would ever own something that didn't either blow or suck, I don't care if it's a freakin' mini van

I gotta' chance to hit a 1/8 mile track since my put my blower on and that drag stars came in, so I was running like 7.80's on bald Azz 20's. Anyway I was wondering what kinda numbers you were putting down with you procharger ?

I.E. Rwhp-Torque 1/4-1/8 mile-60' times & ET's

Hey all ...

FYI,
This is kinda' an old thread but I hate when someone starts something and never follows up after it's all said an done.

Anyways, finally got my car on a dyno & to the track after I got my wheels n tires in. Sadly however I don't have as conclusive results for you as I would have liked. Because votechs tune will not allow you to change anything. For whatever reason Vortech decided to set the speed limiter to 160 MHP. When I put it on the dyno it made 539 rwhp with 1400 rpm left on the tach before and it hit the speed limiter.

Track results didn't show full potential either due to that I could not launch over 4000 rpm's without my cultch slipping, and that was not enough to launch the car without it bogging the motor down causing the car to nose over. My best run was a 11.72 with a 1.67 second- 60' and 120mhp et.

Thanks for the update. let us know how it turns out if/after you replace the clutch. Are you going to have it tuned by someone else, or keep Vortechs tune?

140mph? That's lower than the stock tune's limit.

You misread ....

I said I hit the rev limiter of (160 MHP) with (1400 RPM) left to go on the tack.
