Default 2011 GT Clutch Issues!?!?!

Hey guys...

So here it is, I sadly have my first problem with my car now.

The PROBLEM: I push the clutch pedal in, all the way to the floor, and the clutch barely disengages. I noticed this at the drag strip. My shifting was extremely hard and rough, causing me to miss 2nd on both of my runs...

So my clutch is not wanting to disengage unless I pump it a few times... This obviously should not happen on a newish car! I have driven the hell out of it, but if you are going to tell me that is why and to take it easy, then I am just going to quote this sentence...

"GO TO HELL, I AM DRIVING THE CAR AS IT IS MEANT TO BE DRIVEN, HARD AND FAST!"- Sincerely Wes

I am going to take it into the dealer today.. Wish me luck and let me know what you all think is wrong. My guess is a problem with the hydraulic lines boiling or something, maybe clutch dust in the fluid...

I know some people had a problem with clutch pressure plate bolts backing out...trying to work out in my head without how the clutch works if that could cause the lack of disengagement. Anyways, let us know what the dealer finds out. They should fix it, whatever it is, under warranty. Hard driving may glaze the clutch, but shouldn't cause the types of problems you're having.

Thanks man, I hope it works so they have it under warranty too! I mean I never touched the tranny, not even the shifter yet!

Oh man... I dropped it off today, should know sometime tomorrow, and I will let you all know what happens.

Clutch pedal to the floor....Somehow manage to finagle the shifter to go into 3rd...Give it gas and the car tries to move forward... I dont get it!!!!??!

The clutch catches when it is like 0.00001 inches off the floor... I really cant think what it would be...

There is a huge thread on issues related; I am having my clutch and all replaced this week when parts are in.

Check this thread out: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...hread-279.html

Prolly dowel rod right? Same problem I had. Put in the McLeod to avoid the inevitable. How did you make out?
