It's basically like getting an aftermarket tune. The ecu holds 2 tunes, and inserting the trackey triggers the more aggressive tune. It is only available (maybe) for the 2012 Boss 302 model.

I got an email about this from Ford 2 days ago and I must say I'm stoked, I already booked my appointment with the dealer to get it programmed on the 2nd of November.

So besides simple bolt-ons and long tube headers with a full 3" cat-back. I'm looking at higher-compression pistons, ported heads, cams with more valve lift and bigger duration.

I know L&M makes pistons for the coyote and I'm curious how high of a compression can be used for a noticeable gain on 93 octane, 11:1 is already a high compression so I'm guessing not much more.

I know Ford Racing is selling their ported Boss 302R heads with intake and exhaust valves that have 13mm valve lift. I'm curious if a custom head porting job is needed with clearance for the rocker arms.

The Boss 302R cams look like the best option atm with a 290 degree duration for both the exhaust and intake cams. I think the Stage 3 Comp Cams get 283 exhaust and 276 intake.

I imagine this combination and stronger conrods will allow me to rev over 8000 reliably to make very nice peak horsepower.

Anyways, please share your thoughts and ideas on whether or not this combination will make the power goal that I want.
Hello guy!! I thought I would give you my two cent's worth to you. If you go with higher compression you will have to run octane boost ever fill up or the ignition system will retard your timing back so far your BAMA tune will become useless.

You can make 475 HP easy with the 2015 heads intake and cams. come's from factory making 435 HP will rev to 7250 before the limiter kicks in. I know because I own a 2015 GT with Ariad cold air intake and oiled filter. A resonator delete off road X-pipe and Roush axel back exhaust with A BAMA 93 octane race tune.

The BAMA tune alone makes 34 HP and 41 FT. LB,"s torque increase over stock, add the off road resonator delete X-pipe and Roush axel back exhaust and you get 480 easy HP. The 2015 intake has a bigger plenum than even the boss 302 had circa 2012/2013 the heads use the Boss 302 heads and the cam's are more aggressive than the Boss 302 had.

However the Boss 302 did make 444 HP at a higher red line setting than the 2015 models. Add that and long tube headers for another 30+ HP on top of that and you'd be looking at 510 HP and without having to ring it's neck with high RPM's like the Boss did. Another option would be to add NOS 100 shot that would put you over 512 HP easy without the expense of doing the head cam's intake change.

All in all good luck with what ever you do it is really not that hard to get there I promise. WR.

However the Boss 302 did make 444 HP at a higher red line setting 9 HP more than the 2015 models. Add that, and long tube headers for another 30+ HP on top of that and you'd be looking at 510 HP and without having to ring it's neck with high RPM's like the Boss did. That would put you over 512 HP easy without the expense of doing the head cam's intake change. You might consider the Boss 302 intake with the nitrous it works better with the NOS than the 2015 intake will. American muscle proved that was the case after they installed the NOS the Boss 302 gave better mixture swirl and equal cylinder filling more so than the stock 2015 intake manifold does
