Now just keep your fingers crossed they do a good paint job on it. It will suck if you go to trade it in later and the dealer notices it's been repainted and deducts from the trade value.

I'm not too concerned w/ trade in. I'm going to have this monster for quite a while. With the warranty and everything, I'll be driving this car until the wheels fall off! (Love that Customer For Life Lifetime Powertrain Warranty!) They were VERY stand up w/ me. I'm satisfied. No worrying about insurance coverage, and my rates going up, it'll only take a few days, so that gives me an excuse to get the truck back on the road. (Batteries are DEAD after not driving it for a week!) It's going to be a SHOCK getting into ol' Brisco after cruising in Scarlette, but got to do it. Still LOVE the truck, he's just getting old.

Piggy back on the customer for life....for $900 I think it was, they'll add my truck to the free oil changes, car wash etc. Obviously the engine won't be warrantied...but it has 308k miles!!!

Those pictures reminded me of tal strip paint remover. It gets paint to bubble up quickly and they do have a spray can version. I think you can buy it at advanced auto. If it was vandalism and it happened that quickly I'd think it would have been that. I've gotten brake fluid on paint before and never had that happen to the paint. I'm glad to hear that you got it fixed though.

wow.. that sucks this happened, glad you got it taken care of at no cost to you though.

this is why when i was looking for apartments and then bought my house i always required that they have a garage.. i never leave it out over night. some people are so envious they get pissed when you have something they cant and seek to destroy it.

I'll be moving in 4-6 months hopefully, and they have open parking, covered parking, AND controlled access parking garage. The Covered and Garage parking are a little extra a month, but it's well worth it, expecially in the Maryland Winter Months.

It has been a total shocker the last two days driving my truck after having the car for 2 weeks. Feels like I'm driving a tank.
