Default tach redlight at max rpm's
I saw on youtube that the 2012 Mustang GT, that on the tach it turns red when you reach the max rpm's.
Has anyone seen this and does the 2011 model have that?

I saw a video like that BEFORE the 2012's came out. So, I think the 2011's have that too. I have a 2011, but I don't redline it. 6800 RPM's is enough for me.

Jim I can tell you first hand the 2011 does have it. I was racing one night and missed a gear.

Just a thought, If I change the revlimiter to say 6800rpm maybe the redlight will come on then. Has anyone tried that? I think I will give it a try today.
Will let you know what happens.

With a tune. Depending on the mods you install, the tuner can increase the redline to above 7K RPM

yep, mine will flash red at me.. and i have an auto heh it's only happened a couple of times since i installed the boss intake. once happened in first, the other time passing on the highway in 4th...

Was thinking of setting rev limiter to just above 6500. That is where the max horsepower is.
Will get out today and try it.
