Default Track Day results!

Here in unseasonably cool Florida I managed to get a best of 13.163 bone stock. 2012 GT 6 spd with 3.73's and brembos. It was mid 50's with 35% humidity. I did a quick spin of the tires but not a burnout. Best I could manage on the stock Pirelli's was 2.1 sec 60 ft and a decent .113 R/T. Trap speed was 112. Sound about right? Let me know of any other non corrected similar experiences if ya got em. Just glad to know that a tune will get me nicely into the 12's

112 traps will get you in the 12s with some more practice. Tune and Tires will make it much easier...

Manual w/ 3.73s is easily a 12.8-12.7 car. I ran a 12.959 on my fourth run after having it a week. Work on the launch. And the Pirelli's actually do pretty well considering. Did you have the traction control and ASC on or off? My time is with the "Advanced Trac" ON. I'm sure putting it in "Sport Mode" would free up another 0.05 or so.

Not too bad of times for a stock car. 13.1 is quick, but stock, this car has a lot faster times after getting used to it.

ALSO. Doesn't it suck that the car just runs out of gear at the top end of 4th???!!! If only it had another 2-300 rpms. Times would be in the 12.6-12.8 range.

The first run I actually shifted to 5th because I spun a bit more than the second run so I short shifted into 3rd but the second run (if I didn't have an extra person with me) was perfect in regards to launch and getting down the track. I clipped the E/T beam right as I hit the limiter in 4th. I'm not claiming to be a pro and frankly don't want to beat the crap out of my car every week but after all my "performance" mods are done, I'll bring it back one more time when the weather is similar to get an accurate comparison. Most track days down here are muggy and very high humidity

Default Gainesville Raceway

I was there too, with 2011 Black GT Auto W/315 gears. 0-60 2.219 12.942@111.44 Stock, P zero's w/25lb air pressure. Oh, and new Ford air filter. This was my first time to the track in 30 years, and it was sweet

I still had 32 psi in the tires :P The auto's put down better times from what I hear because there isn't a traction issue. Or maybe it's gearing *shrug*. Either way still good to know Ford rocks again

There we definitely traction issues with the auto's also. I spun all through first and second sent me sideways a bit on one of my runs. I couldn't launch hard and had to roll into the throttle

That's what the Boss Intake Manifold is for, I took my rev limit all the way out to 7600 and it was pulling all the way!
