Some days my car will not start. It happens at anytime of the day. Now my mother is having the same issues. Any ideas?

Gotta also add that the car starts after trying to turn over like 3 times.

Do you hear a rattle or something high pitched coming from your car when you start it; try listening with the door open. If you do, it may be your starter motor going bad. Mine started doing that at around 28000 miles and ford replaced it under warranty. No issues since.

Mine just spun and wouldn't shut off till the key was off. The solenoid never engaged the starter gear. Ford says it's a software issue and reflashed the PCM. Ever hear of that one?
