Default It is me or the Chinese transmission?

I have an '08 Bullitt and just purchased a 2012 5.0. The transmission seems to be quite different from taking the clutch out. I've really noticed it from going from second to third. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced that or am I just not taking the clutch too soon?

Thanks for any help or suggestions
Kev.

I notice, the "jerk" or the feel of the clutch being let out. In the upper gears like 4th and above I don't notice it. Is this common with this transmission or it is something I'm doing? Just seems a little different than the transmission that's in my Bullitt.

Do you have enough miles on it to say your clutch is broken in? Also your transmission is German by nationality and its parts are German. Getrag has a joint venture in China to assemble our transmissions, and that's it! Case in point...Gm assembles cars in mexico, this does not equate to their parts being Mexican.

well, the transmission is a precise intstrument. I'd prefer them be assembled somewhere else lol : P

I noticed this too. 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, it's a bit rough, it can almost feel like a slight grind at times. I had them perform the TSB to replace the trans fluid, it didn't change.

I have 1100 miles on mine so far ..

Yes, China has never been known to make precision instruments.

PS. China wants all their Iphones, smartphones, computers, microscopes, telescopes, etc back. Someone needs to start a thread about all the terrible cars/parts/products past and present that wear the "Made in America" branding. Sometimes it seems like these forums need a reality check.

thanks for contributing important information to this thread. derail incoming

forgive me, I'd prefer my car parts to be assembled by adults making livable wages.

I've only had the car for about two weeks now, so figured I would ask the "experts" here on the forum about the transmission. I appreciate all the feedback. From the little time I've driven car it seems a little more sensetive
in the lower gears than the upper gears. I should say compared to my '08
Bullitt.

Same here.
I wonder what happened if Rollex made their watch in China...
You'd be late for work you think?
