OP, you work, right?

I would hold back some of that $2000 to buy a pair. That way, you won't have to ask permission next time you want to modify your ride.

All in good fun

My next mods will be louvers and tint. I may remove my resonators to increase the "roar" from my Dynomax axle backs.

As for my wife's approval, she would never see the need for any mod. Therefore, I don't seek her approval! I just do it when I feel like it and when I say I have the money. I'm almost 45! I seek no approval when modding any of my cars because she would never approve it anyway...why ask! That's just how I do things...don't try this at your house...every spouse is different!

I'm 43 with two kids. $2000 right off the top is quite a lot and would impact my family, therefore I asked. $300, don't really need approval for that. Now I'm doing $250 a month to knock out the small stuff.

CAI

Panhard

As for the suspension I'm stuck between two. I'm not real sure about the differences and which would be better, or should I say, suitable.

I go by the rule "Forgiveness is easier than permission" as a back up plan when asked about something new I just say " Don't you remember dear, I told you about that a couple of weeks ago. Do you want to go out for dinner?"

The later works better after you have been together for a while and the age thing can work in your favor.

listen...GREAT job on the install. no bones about it....i would NEVER attempt it. Kudos for building a great car...BUT

WTF is with all you *****'s letting your wives tell you what you can and cant do...i will never EVER understand the pussification of the male species...

yes, im married, and we both do whatever we want, whenever we want, and we couldnt be happier...or more in love. but there needs to be mutual respect.

if you are a slave to your wife, you need to grow a pair...

i just had a stroke...

Really??? I talked with the wife and went over the budget and the numbers came up good for $7000 cash. I'm sorry I'm not rich and have one kid in college and two that still live here with me and the wife. Those that can pull $7000 cash from the bank and it not effect your family good on you. I on the other hand would like to make sure the mortgage is paid and our retirement savings are still on track. I've been in the military for 23 years and my wife for 18. We are both retiring in the next 2 years and don't want to have to work hard after we retire.

thats more than i have. i am not rich. im not talking about money. im talking about permission. i dont understand men that need to get womens permission. i dont care if its as simple as going to the bar for a beer with a friend or buying a yacht. this isnt about your situation, its about the pussification of men.

look back on the comments. there are comments regarding getting the wifes OK. this is not about you per se. not a bit. its just the general consensus about how most married men are treated like children (well we are). like we need to make sure we wont be lambasted for making a choice that involves our cars with the money we earned.

F that. Im not saying your wife is a dictator or anything like that at all. i just hate when my guy friends call and say, "i got the green light to so and so from my wife". i give myself the green light. and my wife does too.

we have an unusual relationship that most people are jealous of. but anyone can have it with a bit of honest and open communication. now watch me get a divorce tomorrow! lol.

anyway, enough of this crap...nice work. im jealous of your mechanical ability....thats for sure.

i want to add one thing...

i understand when you have a joint bank account you need to do the responsible thing and get permission. thats called respect and being responsible.

step number one....2 separate accounts and 1 joint. the joint pays the bills and you have your account to buy what you want. no permission needed.
