Yeah.. its something you get used to with each car.. for mpg and in the morning to be kind to my neighbors i shift at 2,000 .. now when i go over this 2 lane high wall cement bridge every morning its 5,000 !!! Oh god it sounds so good... but normal in traffic.. 2,000 - 3,500 . Now my old svt focus.. it lived over 4,500 all the time ... all a preference

That should be fine, the Mustang has power in practically every range of RPM, so its not like I'm really looking to improve a specific target range, haha.

Any problems with the tune? I have heard of owners having major engine problems due to tunes, although I am not sure of how widespread the problems are due to tunes...

Man that is a wide open question. If you are curious all you have to do is search number 8 failure on this forum or on any search engine. You will see accounts of mustang owners that have experienced cylinder 8 failure. The long and the short of it is that the issues were very few and far between. Seemed to be mostly in the 2011 model. Ford blames the tuners, tuners blame ford..blah blah blah..I will say that ford has gotten quite serious about warranty voidance on modified cars. There is a TSB on that and it will show you. If you are worried go with bama(american muscle) from what I understand they warranty their tunes against #8 failure so you can't really beat that. For me I don't worry if it happens it happens; mustangs have been getting modded since the dawn of time. Its retarded for me to say out loud that a tune and a CAI that produces 40hp is blowing a cylinder head..makes no sense at all. Unless the tuner just got to agressive with his settings..but its happened to two of the best and most used bama and breenspeed..If you really want saftey to my understanding steeda has never had a failure. Thats a pretty good track record. Hope this answers your questions..

I don't think I've ever shifted at the same rpms in the last week. I had to show some young go hard that his 1945 mitsubishi eclipse with the pop can exhaust that I meant business.
