people have gone from exhaust + tune only to exhaust + cai + tune and have gained 15-20whp, so i'd say the CAI helps a lot with exhaust mods. without them typically you are looking at only a 10whp, which still is pretty good for the price.

your 60 foot time will tell us more about your 1/4 mile run. people have ran high 11s with cai+tune+ drag radials. Tires help a lot. a 114 trap shows you are making a bit more than stock power, but with cai+tune people have hit 117 mph. My track is at 4000' so it's hard to compare times i run to others... but going from cai+tune+ drag radials i ran a DA corrected 12.1@117 and with the O/R X, intake and gears I ran a da corrected 11.8@119. (actually times were 13.5@108 and 12.6@112) people have gone faster with my same mods, part of my problem is my drag radials are too tall, 28", i need some 26" tires. and some 15" wheels would help Your first time at a track is always going to be a learning experience.. and usually your 5th still is I've had a lot of help from friends telling me how to do things there, and I drive an auto. with a manual you'll have a lot more room to mess things up, figuring out the right launch RPMs and shifting quickly, ideally power shifting (also called no lift shifting) if you can.

so if you don't have a CAI + tune i'd recommend it.

I'd agree with napoleon too, the coyote is such a different car if they dont have extensive experience on the new ti-vct engine then I wouldn't let them touch it. you would be better off with an e-mail tune.

edit: i see you do have a bama tune and a JLT CAI, so you should be good, get some drag radials and practice a lot.

I did mine on a lift, took 8 hours and didn't have to touch the motor mounts. Just dropped the starter, and removed the steering rack.

S197GT07 are you talking about putting them on an '07 or a 2012? I'm sure there is a world of difference. The purpose of removing the motor mounts is so you can raise the motor. If you didn't have to raise the motor to install them then for me it would be one of those "have to see it to believe it" responses.

Andy, its a 6-spd.

Doh! Thought I clicked on the 4.6 section, oh well.

Also, a bunch of 3v guys say they had to mess with the motor mounts, which made me think more and more this was the 3v section, haha.

I have a 6-spd too...

6-spd manual or 6-spd automatic?

when I had my '07 automatic people would ask me if it's a 5 speed all the time, I'd say yep. sometimes i'd say yep, a 5-speed automatic. but usually i'd just let them think whatever after saying yes to it having a 5 speed. Now if they ask if it's a 5 speed I say nope, a 6 speed

Haha it's a manual. I won't ever have a sports car that is automatic... takes the fun out of it!
