Coaxing out a little more hp...
I'm wanting to finish my engine mods up and figured id cash in some vacation hours and buy a few more parts and call it good for a while.
here is where im at now - factory exhaust manifolds with cat delete x pipe, aftermarket over axle pipes and borla mufflers....and just a cai with a tune.
i dont want to break the engine open, so was looking for an idea or two for a little more power.
ive come up with accel super coil on plug kit, and a bbk 85mm throttle body.
any other ideas to do while im at it without cracking into the engine, or installing headers?
i also have 4.11 gears and plan on a 1 piece aluminum drive shaft.

This would help you out quite a bit. Just the first thing that popped in my head.

I don't believe you'll see any performance increase with your plug kit and throttle body. typically you'll need either a procharger or Heads and cams to benefit from a throttle body. on the 05-10 engines the throttle bodies caused more problems than they helped for performance.
Boss intake manifold and LT headers are all that is left. The driveshaft will help too. some big & little drag wheels/drag radials. at that point you are maxxed out without either doing heads/cams or forced induction. or suspension.
you are at the point where you need to spend a lot of money to get just a bit more performance for bolt-ons. you'll gain about 15whp with the headers and gain about 25-30whp past 6500rpm on the intake manifold. intake manifold costs about $375, but you need to be good at shifting precisely/quickly to benefit from it, or have an automatic. I think you shift at 7200 or 7300 with the intake since your engine still makes more power all the way through the high rpms where it used to drop past 6200.
