Question 275's on brembo wheels performance with the 3.73 gears?

How does your 275's tires mounted on brembo wheels (or simillar 9 X 19) and with the 3.73 gears perform?. Do they handle better than the stock oem size 255/40R-19?

Love the performance of the tires. 275 hankooks on the rear. Gears suffered a little I think bc I went with a 275/40 and its a 27.7' tall tire. Should have put a 275/35 but didn't want that small of s sidewall.

Hi shoeys08dkcandygt, can you please provide me more info, because I readed in another post that the 275/35R19 is too fast for the 3.73 gears, since is smaller and lighter than the oem one. Apparently the comment was that 1st. shift was almos useless. Can you please explain about your issues with the 275/40?

I didn't think that the 275 tires could fit the brembo wheels.

Why not? For example the old Camaros SS ran a 17x9 and a 275/40R17. How's that any different than a 275/40R19 on a stang? Shoot, I was able to fit 275's on my 17x8s on my goat. Do it! I'm totally going to rock 275's all around when my tires wear out.

Since we are talking oversized tires, I figured I would post. might help, might now, at least I tried thoguh. I have 20's, 275/35 and a StopTech big brake kit with 3.73 gears. Handles like a freaking champ and yes, 1st gear is almost useless. 2nd is still kinda hard to take off in without revving the engine though so I use 1st but I am not in it long unless at the drag strip.

I would NOT change a thing if if you paid me to!

Whe you want that crap your pants thrill of getting slammed into your seat, 1st gear is very useful with 3.73's.
