Labor Day Autocross GoPro vids
I posted this in another section but I figured you guys in 5.0 tech would enjoy the vids.
Me and some buddies took a trip to the Western Michigan SCCA Autocross finals they had on labor day. They set up half of the road course for autocross, it was a lot of fun. The track is called Grattan raceway. I did decent, over the course of my 4 runs I was able to drop my time from 95 seconds to 85 seconds. With a few more runs I could have gotten even lower.
This is my buddies (white 5.0) GoPro footage. Hope you enjoy the vid's.
and my other friends 07 GT/CS:
anybody else into the Autocross scene? I have been enjoying it alot more lately, this is the 3rd event I've gone to, a lot more of a challenge then going in a straight line!

They should have just let you run hot laps at the track but it looked like a lot fun. Wish the track near me did that. Putting the gopro on the top of the window will give you a better angle and on the front bumper gives you the real speed feel.

Thanks for the comment man.
Hot lapping would have definitely sped things up, there were at least 75 cars at this event, they had to break everything down into 3 heats, about 25 cars per heat. By the time I got out there to do my runs it was blazing hot and 4pm.
Needless to say that the group was not very organized that day.

Had a quick look and really enjoyed what I saw! Definitely something I could get into although the closest events held are in Atlanta...
Why don't they use rope to create the race lane instead of cones on lot courses? Use a green rope for the left side to distinguish that side of the course and a white one for the right side. Then tape it down every dozen ft or so to keep it in place.
