Default Question: 2013 GT with Track pack ---RPM's

Hey,

I am looking to order a mustang but had a quick question about your rpm's with the track pack.

I was curious to know at 60 mph what are your rpm's in 6th?

What about 70 mph?

I had 3:73's in my 93 cobra and it was a bit much for long drives.

Thanks.

60 is right around 2000. 70, if my memory serves me correctly about 2400ish. Still get 24-26 mpg depending on wind and roads. Totally worth it !!!

Hmm, sounds good.
I think I will ask Ford if they can do the Track Pack with 3:55 ration instead.

While I got you here, how do you like that glass roof? Pro's/Con's?
That really has my eye but I am having to choose between that and the Nav.

I've got the track pack with the 3.73's on my 2013 GT and love it. Like slowbra said, 60 is just under 2,000, and 70 is a little under 2,400. Not bad at all for highway cruising.

I don't have the roof, but i've seen it and it is pretty sweet. If you've got the cash then I say go for it. I called the dealer about getting one fitted in, the replacement glass alone is 2100.

Remember.. this is a 6 speed... and redline is 7000.

I'd go with the 3.73s as they actually help with highway driving (5th is more useful).

At 80 in 6th i think im under 3000.

I freaking love the glass roof! I cant think of any cons. It easily adds 1- 1 1/2 inches of headroom, and the shade does a great job at blocking the sun when needed (ive only used it a few times).

You can always add Nav. You cant go back and add a glass roof. The nav upgrade is also way over priced.

I also recommend the backup camera. Without Nav, the display is embedded in the rearview mirror.. which makes more since than having to look down at your center console.

I love the glass roof!!! It's a hard top convertible in my eyes. You want to talk about the wow factor, this is it. I wouldn't trade it for the world!! The brembo package is nice the track pack is rare but the glass roof is super special!! Factories will make hard top and verts, but if you want a glass roof, you have to order it!!!

Sorry for the delayed response!!! Just got LASIK about 6 hours ago and I love it lol! Keep us posted on your decision and plans!

Definitely skip the nav. It will be outdated in no time and it's overpriced. Your phone can do just as good of a job at getting you to your destination. No way I would get it unless it was in the base package and therefore free. Not sure I'd even want it then.

True about nav. I just connect my phone to sync via bluetooth.. set the destination in maps, and the turn by turn plays through the cars speakers. This way can choose the best navigation app for the task. If I need to see the map, I can pick up a mount for like $30...but turn by turn voice is more than sufficient.
