Default Difference between Steeda CAI for Auto vs Manual

I am looking to buy a CAI for my 5.0 and ran across a Steeda CAI on the infamous Craigslist... The issue is this CAI came off of a manual and I have an automatic. Is there a difference between a Steeda CAI for an automatice vs one for a Manual? Any advice would help so I don't pull the trigger on one I can't use...

Yes it is different. You'll need one for an automatic. In all honesty your car came with a CAI from the factory and works better than any of the aftermarket ones. Spend your money elsewhere.

Yes you have to get the automatic 1, and yes it's better then stock but you will need a tune. I suggest get that from Steeda as well! I have both and my car is a beast now!

^^ +1 to this ^^. You are not going to gain 75 RWHP but you will gain a bit. You will also gain a far better throttle response and more torque through out the RPM range. Your factory shifting strategy will also be tweaked. The Steeda CAI just enhances the Steeda tune. 80% of what you gain will be through the tune. A CAI is really a misnomer. It is a velocity stack. I am running the Steeda 93 octane tune with their CAI and could not be happier.

Thanks for all the advice! About how much can I pick up both the CAI and tune for? I see some of the prices online but how much are y'all really paying for the combo...?

And the people have spoken ... shoot me an email at tim@steeda.com if I can help answer any questions ... and I will help provide some forum pricing as well.

Best Regards,

TJ

Oh sorry ... I read the top line but thought someone weighed in:

The Auto has an extra fitting. Our kits include a plug to block it off if you want to use it on a manual car.

Best Regards,
