Default 4.10's or 4.30's in a '13 GT 6 speed?

H I had 4.10' in my '01 GT that was a auto and loved them, not sure if I want to go to the 4.30's as I might supercharge this '13..... What are your guys thoughts as which ones to install and why....

Don't do it unless your gonna drag race the car at the track regularly!

Ok why neither? And why only if I am gonna drag race it on a regular basis??? Please give me more info as to why. I have the 3.73 in it now as I have the track pack.

Because the gearing in the new transmissions are far more aggressive than previous years. Understand these new cars before you start throwing parts at them.

More gear equals more rpm.
Like you I have 3.73's and traction comes at a premium. A 4.10 or 4.30 gear set with the already steep gearing of the MT82 will multiply this problem.
Although I never encountered this, some have needed to use 5th gear at the drag strip with 3.73's. If you go shorter gears like you're suggesting then you will definitely being making an additional shift.
I'll make one last point and maybe I'm out in left field with this.
Before I took delivery of my car I did some research and comparisons on the gearing of the MT82 vs my previous T56 equipped F-body. With just some quick calculations I found that the MT82 and 3.73 gears is similar to a T56 with a set of 4.88's.
More gear without any traction help will not do much except make your tire salesman happy. JMO

Thanks guys, for the info. That's why I am here to get info before I start modding it so I can get it where I want it. I will stick with the 3.73's that are in it and use that money to spend on other parts.

I am redlining 4th gear at 7800 in a 1/4 mile run at our local track as it is. I literally bounce the limiter 10ft from the finish line everytime at 130mph.

if you wanna boost yours and keep the RPM lower than mine, I would say go down to a 3.55. There is a local here on a Procharger f1A that reaches 134 in a 1/4 run but still has some of 4th gear left at 7200.
