I made 523hp just today on my aeroforce interceptor gauge! That was in 2nd gear though. I don't have much faith in dynos calculating true hp numbers.
I had my car dynoed once, about 5 years ago and it only made 404hp/412tq. That is low for a 500hp whipple HO kit compared to others and I let it bother me for about 5 minutes.
I'm sure you could go down the street and dyno 22hp higher. Was the motor hot? Heat soak will hurt your dyno numbers.
I feel with the mods I should have been at 400 or at least 395. Otherwise I feel it is money wasted on mods.
I think having it re-dyno'd is money wasted, but just for fun find some 18 inch rims (17's if they will fit) and swap out those 20's. The 20's are probably costing you 10hp.
I may have spoken to soon. Your 20's could be the reason you aren't making 400rwhp. Do you still have the stock 19's?
Did 389 with FRPP tune only. Did 389 the year before... 100% stock.. Had detonation on the runs in pic below. You can see it gets bumpy after 5000 rpm.
Proper gear is 5th.. and with Advance Track/TC completely off (lots of people forget to turn the nannies completely off).
why would it matter to cut the traction control off. Pretty sure my dyno guy didn't touch the traction control, and mine made damn good power for all stock
I am selling Poppa Smurf anyway. Since I got my 2000 GT Vert and rebuilt it I drive it more and like it more. Plus I want to make sure I can jam all the money I get out of it into my 2015 order, other than the deposit for being in the list for first custom orders #4 our 10 spots)
