Hard Shifting From 1st to 2nd?

Also if you added steel lines for your brakes why wouldn't you also replace the hydraulic clutch line, they are also subject to expansion and the stock line is not very strong.
The addition of an up-graded bottom bracket makes the short throw shifter work. The stock Ford is just a strip of bent metal with a weak spongy center, with the after market 2 to 3 is now just a palm push.
The new tech is a double bottom bracket. I'm 1/2 way obsolete not a year into my single bottom bracket. Ford Racing Short Throw Shifter with 2x Bottom Brackets $476.
Mod rule of thumb: Think twice about modding new part$ with newer part$.

For some reason the last post on this thread is not appearing. I think the name was VistaBlue. I get notifications in my email account. If it is not appearing on here at all, he is correct in a rear support mount / bracket. I am not sure what all comes in the Hurst kit, but the rear stock mount is a piece of junk. Barton make a 2 piece post mount that will solve a lot of your issues. Under a hard shift the stock bracket allows deflection and twists. The Barton support will stop that.

I had a similar issue with my 2013 however between 2-3 gear. I replaced my shifter and went with the MGW-- WOW like night and day difference. If you consider any shifter make sure its the MGW as it is an upgrade to the entire system. Still have the stock trans fluid.

We are in the works of producing a stage 1 upgrade for the MT82 transmissions right now and our prototype should be complete in about 3 weeks. We are eager to be the first source on the market to produce a "built" MT82 so people won't have to do a swap to a T56 Magnum XL which costs about $7k when everything is said and done.
We are still working on the R&D, but we plan on having an option as to where you can buy the parts from us, and have you or your local specialist install the upgraded parts.
