My guess of 460 HP was at the crank. You can always do Nitrous for short bursts that will most likely put you over 500HP (at the crank). But, that is a whole other topic.

You would trade it in because its 40 HP below your goal? The money you lose taking a hit on the trade....You could get real close to that 500 mark....just a thought.

Your telling me that a full Long tube exhaust system, CAI, Custom tuning, Boss intake, wont put you at 500 bhp? 500 bhp is 430hp at the wheels.

I would think that a full LT setup, CAI/Boss intake, custom tuning would get you close. If not then maybe some cams as well.

No, I appreciate it very much. I am thinking long term. As in, rather than keep the car for five years, maybe I would keep it for two or three in order to minimize losses.

This seemed very odd to me as well. Most tuners claim 30+RWHP gains for a CAI/Tune alone. This should put the car up to about 450 bhp. I was trying to figure out how to get the last 50 bhp. Obviously, mods don't stack, but I would hope that full bolt ons might get the last 50.I don't know much about FI, so I am trying to stay away since this is my DD.

My bumper to bumper warranty is up in about 8000 miles and I am thinking to start modding. What is the best way to 500 hp at the crank in a 2011 gt? I am thinking suspension mods might be in order as well.
Cams, CAI, Boss intake, LT headers and a really good tune you will probably be close to 500Hp FLYWHEEL. Cams alone are good for 30-40hp at the flywheel.

People forget the 5.0 breaths better as a 4V instead of a 3V engine (4.6L).

If all that doesn't get you there, Port n polished heads will.

500whp isn't easy or cheap NA but it HAS been done. Cams, tune, CAI, FULL exhaust (headers etc), boss IM,90mm TB, etc. Basically everything bolt on will get you there. But, with 500whp you're looking at having to fix some of the issues with the stock suspension.

Was it Lethal Performance or JPC that has a 500whp package that is LESS than a lot of SCer packages?

I'm all for you working toward getting 500 at the wheels and keeping it NA.

Here you go. I found it:

$6200 isn't bad at all.

for about the same price you can put on a supercharger (just one mod vs several) and hit over 500HP without breaking a sweat.

True, but you also don't HAVE to dump all of that money all at once going NA. You can piece it together and have fun while doing it.

This as said above and money can make anything easy and possible so your budget and will power are the only limits to reaching your goal.

if you have $20k to splurge and want closer to 650+ N/A hp go with this:http://www.dragzine.com/news/video-2...the-dyno-test/

Dragzine claims based on track times the NA version is between 600 and 700 HP. I saw one run low 9s in N/A form at Indy, the car weighed about 3200 and was setup for drag racing. you'll be in high rpm range, and the redline is 8200 rpm in the CJ N/A engine. Some will say its not good for a DD but that's up to you to decide what you can live with or without.

You can add a cold air intake, headers, and a tune and get approximately 490 crank hp.

See Brenspeeds advertisement: http://www.brenspeed.com/coyotestage2a.html
