I would go with Vortech or Paxton if I went with anything. We were thinking this engine would be around 700 Whp with a supercharger. But if I did that I would not be able to track the vehicle successfully. What I have here with engine and suspension is essentially a "Super Boss". It is balanced, resistant to overheating, and I can apply the power down out of curves smoothly on good street tires because I don't have 550 lbs of torque.
Sheeesh.. I wish I had your motor.. the evil deeds that would ensue! lol

I like the Procharger because of it's dedicated belt drive system. The intake is kinda weird but it's intercooled anyways, so I figure as long as the IAT's are low, it shouldn't matter what the intake sucks air, though I see where you're coming from.

Ditto on the added weight and throwing things out of balance for a road course, not to mention heat issues with forced induction.. been there, done that. I know how it feels to have a lot of power, but going nowhere due to heat issues. Only reason I'd do something like a blower on a monster motor set up is to annihilate the competition at the drag strip or some freeway runs.. not a lot can touch a 700whp car on the street.. up here anyways..

Any gains with a BOSS 302 intake manifold on the above set up and an auto trans??
From what we've seen, the Boss Intake is good for 10-15+ rwhp, but a loss of about 15 ft/lb's of torque. As far as your auto goes, drag race the crap out of your car! These 6R80's are legit.

lol torque? who needs that when we can rev it out to 7500 rpm

That BOSS 302 intake manifold must be pretty crazy on an auto revving that high...

Actually the "Black Lung" Cobra N/A is around 500-550 it's the one just below the $24K S/C Cobra crate engine. The B/L NA is $16-17K.

By the time you mod a GT to 500 RW@the-G, you'd have to think, gee I could've got a Black Lung? The Intake looks like half-a-lung, hence the name.

Cost wise though, what's a 2015 GT run? $60-65K for a 2014, so maybe $70K! Drag racing on a floppy tail IRC? Which to pick, Boss, Aluminator, Black Lung or full-blown Cobra? I'd get a Boss $10K and sell your Coyote to a dude who's fixing a 60-70's Mustang. I've seen this often because the Coyote intake is the only one that will fit under their hood.

I'd personally supercharge it these motors love boost. I think if you were to do a boss intake, long tubes, cold air, tune, etc...you will come up short but it would be a powerful car nonetheless...

15lb carbon fiber driveshaft, 18lb tsw rotary forged wheels. If you had 19 inch rims, that would be a loss of 12lbs per rim and 30lbs lost in the drive shaft. 54lbs of rotating mass removed. Youll feel it.

Shane, how do carbon driveshafts hold up to nicks? I know with carbon bike frames you must cover any nick with fingernail polish or moisture will get in and finito.

aluminum works too. But I suppose its not crank horsepower either, just minimizing loss.
