Shorty headers on 5.0?

Too freakin expensive, you have to make your own or use with the borla catback system, which runs it up to nearly 2500. They are probably on par with SW, Kooks, ARH and other brands, just not too many people who want to shell out that much on exhaust. There aren't that many who want long tubes honestly, most get the o/r setup and call it a day.

I just put these on and what a difference, check the testing results!

They are both ball busters , but easy if you drop the k frame! Im gonna replace my catted x with a stainless works off road x, and will pick up another 25 hp with it.

My personal car has the stock "headers" with a JBA o/r x pipe, a magnaflow competition cat back exhaust, and a steeda CAI... which put down 426rwhp/395rwtq on a mustang dyno... One of our customers' cars has the BBK shorty headers, bbk x pipe w/ high flow cats, the magnaflow competition cat back exhaust, steeda CAI, and a boss intake manifold, and it put down 437rwhp/380rwtq.
Obviously the main differences are that his car had cats and mine didn't, and he is running the boss intake manifold and mine is stock. But for gains of only 11rwhp and a loss of 15 lb/ft of torque (which I account to the intake manifold) I'd say that shorty headers aren't worth doing. Get the LT's or don't get anything.
