Long tube headers install
#11
Wow do they suck
Long tube headers are a nightmare to install. They never just fit in. 1 hr of wiggle time. I would love to have long tube headers on my car, I would even pay a shop 125 hr and 7 hrs to install them at that rate, just to save myself the swearing. Unfortunately for me no shop in my area will install long tubes on my car, they don't even want to do it. I would most likely have to dive to alberta to find a good hotrod shop my home town of brandon manitoba, has got nothing. Winnipeg maybe but i know of no such good place to install them.

18 hours to do it myself on jack stands. Taking my sweet time. Would have gone a lot faster if I had gotten the ratchet wrenches for both sides instead of only one. Depends on how much money you have. 875 is a lot of go fast parts.

I don't know about on this car, but I have installed lt's on my other cars of the past. Just take your time and enjoy it. For me the best part about getting aftermarket parts is the adventure of installing them. Grab a buddy and some beer and crank the tunes in the garage. I plan on doing this as well. Have quite a bit planned for the ol' 'stang

The install isn't overly difficult, just time consuming, yes grab a buddy and some beer, take your time and do it right. The good thing is SW includes all the necessary hardware to make the install, including bolts, 02 extensions, clamps etc..
Remember the end result is now having smooth long tube headers that make wicked power and exotic sounds!!
