Automatic, Gear Change or aluminum driveshaft
So performance Ive been reading there are 3 gear choices.
3.15,3.31,4.10
The cost of a gear swap and the cost of a one piece drive shaft are about the same. The Drive shaft has been said to lower a quarter mile time by .2 and make the car feel lighter on its feet. That being said, would a switch to a 3.31 or a 4.10 reduce a time by more then .2 ? 4.10's ive heard also kill mileage.
And just as an added note, i don't think the boss intake is right for me but if one were to use a bolt on Boss intake which rear gear would you use in an auto to match its powerband ?

if you never plan on supercharging the car than I'd highly recommend the 4.10 it's a blast and very noticeable on wot and would really compliment the boss intake as well..Cruising on the highway will be at 3k rpm's or so at 80mph it's not that bad really...

The BOSS intake is really designed to improve the air/fuel flow at high RPM, so if that was the objective I'd probably go to the 3.73 to rev the engine higher at any given speed and gain the power benefit of the BOSS intake. With the 3.73 differential, first gear runs out at about 35 mph - compared to about 40mph with the stock 3.15.
