Had a 2006 GT - had to drive a bit in the winter - a marked improvement going to winter ice radials - also a lot safer. Just need to know how to drive rear wheel drive car in poor traction conditions.

Keep my new 13 GT in the heated garage and run a Pontiac beater a 98 grand ma with 50,000 kms

I can hardly wait for spring and get the GT out and about.

Really have you even checked, cause typically basic liability is cheap, and multiple car discount savings would make the increase very small, at least it always has for me.

Get good winter radials on all 4 wheels. Makes a world of difference. All weather tires just won't cut it. Michelin makes some great tires. I think they're called XIce.

Bridgestone Blizzacks are another good winter tire. I have then on my Mustang. It's not just the snow you have to worry about. High performance summer tires do not like cold temps. The properties that make them so grippy in warm temps works against them in temps under 40 degrees. The rubber compounds get very stiff and slippery even on dry roads.

I drive my mustang all year round on the PZeros. The car does okay with cold temps and snow. Ice sucks, but that is to be expected. Just be careful out there.

Drove 2 different Mustangs for years with all seasons (2000 V6 and now a 2010 GT). I always got by, although they could get squirrelly on occasion in the ice and snow -especially once you hit about two inches of snow and a slight upgrade.

Now I have Blizzak LM60's on all 4 wheels. Night and day difference - snow no longer worries me in the slightest.

It handles better in the snow and ice than even my wife's FWD with good all seasons.

Thank you guys for the input! I decided on Michelin X ices and used salt as weight for the trunk lol. It's gonna snow in the next few days... Time to put it to the test.
