3.55 Gear Whine after had installed

Hello,
I have noticed when driving faster then 50 MPH I hear more of a high pitch whine. I am taking it back to the dealer that installed the gears. I got the FORD Racing 3.55 from American Muscle. If it whines only under a load ( acceleration) is that just shims? Or could the gears not be cut well? I am hoping it is just shims. It gets louder at 70 - 77 MPH and that is pretty much our HIGHWAY speed here.

It sounds to me like it wasn't shimmed correctly. Gear's need to be perfect or you will get some whine. If installed properly you won't have any whine with a set of FRPP Gears.

Sorry I have not gotten back to this post. I took it back and had them re shim it. It is better but I still get a little whine. I don't think I should get any noise since they do come from the factory with 3.55's ( could be the gears though). But I can live with it. October 25th I start my install of a VMP GEN2 STG2 kit. Will be posting install pictures on that as well.
