Note: After reading your thread carefully, you indicated these 2 plans are $2300 EACH!!! Then this is a big time rip off!

If you are hands on then buy the maintenance plan. If you like to do your own work OR want to heavily mod your car then don't bother. Same for the warranty plan. If you mod the hell out of it you will lose most of your coverage anyways.... and for $2300? OUCH

It even covers the clutch and brake pads.
My question is what is the cost of major maintenance within the 70,000 mile?
Does is it worth the investment? I got a week from him to think about it.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Hey man Ive had my mustang for over a year and other than getting a flat tire, shes running beautiful, these cars are built to be driven hard and thrashed on, heck they are mustangs, the car either tames you or the you tame the car. My advice is save the money you would spend on an extended warranty (you already have a great manufacture warranty) and spend it all on aftermarket goodies for your pony.

I would take the $4600 and put it towards a supercharger.

I have a '12 with 50K and it has been a great car.

on my second s197 mustang gt. I find these cars to be reliable with minor problems. had to change the alternator on the 06 at about 1,500 km and later a frost plug leaked a bit of coolant. my 13 has required nothing but oil changes and regular service.

pre-paid service is kind of nice if you don't do the work yourself and travel a lot - had it on the 06 and I think it was good at any ford dealer.
