There are GT500 FRPP mufflers, too, which are similar to Borla Touring. If you're have 4" slash cut single wall tips they are likely the stock GT500 muffler, which is a sweet piece as it is quieter than others and has a mellow tone. When you're better, have a look under the car and see if someone changed out the H for an off-road, as that'll dramatically increase volume, no matter what's out back.

talking about gt500 mufflers, are those technically legal in the 5.0 Mustang? I am not saying emissions but noise levels. I wonder what the Decibel difference is. I have Roush Axle backs and those things are loud when the engine is cold.

We have harleys and crotch rockets flying past our house constantly that are 10x louder than my Mustang with Magnaflow Competition exhaust.
