I have a 2013 GT M6 that is 100% bone stock. It's been my wife's daily driver since we bought it. We have had a few issues with it (starter exploded at 16k miles). She and I have separated and I got custody of the Mustang. It's way too quiet for my taste. I'm not planning any other mods other than an axle-back and MAYBE a set of springs to set it in the weeds a bit. I've been down the modding road before (Procharged new edge) and it costs way too much when I start factoring in my other hobbies (boat, R1, gun collection, etc.).

Anyway, my question is how loud will an axle-back muffler delete be given the factory mid pipe is staying on the car. I know on my 04, pre blower, a cat-back alone was still really quiet and didn't get the loud that I like until I added longtubes and o/r x-pipe. I appreciate any knowledable input.

A factory axleback muffler delete such as the pypes pipe-bomb or flowmaster outlaws will make a HUGE difference in sound. The volume will increase significantly with just this mod. The muffler deletes will drone so make sure that you can live with that for when you have your mustang on the road. These cars respond really well to axle back switch.

for the love of all that is good, please don't just do a muffler delete. they're just plain obnoxious for everyone.

I second the suggestion to scrap the muffler delete idea. I would just install Roush AB's and be done with it. I'd still have mine if I didn't remove the cats.

I'm straight piped from the headers to my flowmaster outlaws and I aboslutely love it!!! It is very very loud, but after 2 years of it I don't even notice it anymore as that part of my ear died long ago lol.

Everyone that talks to me say they love it, but couldn't DD it. It's your car man, do you so it fits your personality.

I like it loud and don't mind drone. My 04 had an off-road X pipe and one-chambered Flowmasters. It was loud and droned big time around 2k rpms. Even louder when I put the Procharger on it. I may end up going to a catless mid-pipe, the only issue is not wanting to have to put a tuner on it to block the MIL. I've had some issues with the car and don't want to listen to Ford (regarding warranty) if I have more. I'm familiar with warranty laws but Ford bucking on repairs because of a "mod" just ties the car up in the shop longer. The local stealership had my car 6 weeks when the starter exploded. They tried to say it was because of abuse.
