Both 3.6 and 4.2 liter are meant for big HP applications. You will also probably need forged internals in your motor. If you are running a stock bottom end you might want to stick with a 2.3 liter system. You can't go wrong with Kenny Bell or Whipple. Roush and VMP both also are good systems. It just depends what you want to do with your car. If you plan on a 700hp plus motor with a forged bottom end then the Kenny Bell 4.2 liter would work. Keep in mind there is a long list you need to do before your car can handle that much power.

Don't go with the 3.6 or 4.2 unless you want to put forged internals in your 5.0. IMHO I would go with the 2.8l KB. Don't get a 2.3l. I personally plan on going with a 2.6l HO from KB instead of the 2.8l because you have to run a minimum of 15lbs of boost unless you get a taller hood and even then you have to run a minimum of 10lbs. I plan on getting the 2.6HO and running the largest pulley for 9lbs of boost.

KB and Whipple both make great products. The best product for a daily driver is the one your tuner/installer is most familiar with.....assuming you are having someone else do the install and tune. This will insure the best drivability and reliability.

That's why I recommend the KB system. No tuner/installer necessary. Basic tools are all that's needed and it comes with a tuner and proper tune plus all the fuel system upgrades necessary.

Those guys make good products for something leaning towards a race application. For a street/strip/weekend warrior you cannot beat a TVS setup.

I am running the 2.9 stage 1. No dual fans.

So far so good. I had the install done in early August and have logged about 1,000 miles since mainly commuting and stuck in traffic. No heating or idling issues. Runs well with A/C on. This is a 50-state emissions legal kit and also installed with basic hand tools.

I did a baseline dyno but haven't had the chance to put it back on the dyno yet. I plan on adding boost-a-pump and ignition and then a dyno tune at a later date. However, I'm on the stock block right now. So I only plan on modest additions in the future.

Good luck. This thing is stupid fast. Prepare yourself for it. 1st and 2nd gear are useless now under WOT. I have 3.73 gears. Now I'm planning a tire and wheel set up.

An SRT392 tried to mess with me a few weeks ago. He ended up getting the surprise of a lifetime. My car looks completely stock.
