Feels great to finally post in the V8 5.0 forum now. I recently traded in my 2010 V6 automatic for a 2012 GT/CS manual with only 35k miles. I must say what an upgrade and I am beyond pleased with my decision. I do have a lot of future ideas for the 'stang but I am going to enjoy the 5.0 V8 roar.
Welcome to the dark side! I have Borla axle-backs on mine, along with long tubes and catless X pipe and I LOVE the way my car sounds. It's pretty obnoxious at WOT for driving around town though haha
I picked up my 2012 gt vert in Feb. Ive only had it out twice. It fully stock and goes like snot. Cant wait for this Canadian wheather to improve ehhh.
congrats! I have to say those cali special rims are by far one of my favorite set of ford rims! I moved up last year, went from an 07 V6 4.0 to a 2014 convertible cali special 5.0 and I love it, the roar of the engine is awesome and really its not the gas hog i thought it was going to be.
MIke, Im sure as an old V6 owner you are familiar with the "V6" comments at shows or car cruises like; "oh its just a V6 or why didnt you get a V8?" Well your new question you will get asked with the CS is: "Whats so special about a California special?"
Ive been asked several times already! Ive been telling people the history of the CS since 1968 but I think I need to make up some kinda crazy story like its from california so its an 420 horspower electric motor not a gas engine to help with the smog problem in LA... That should get some crazed looks!
