Hey, sorry I've been missing for a while. So the consensus is NO drag radials on a stick car? This is the first I'm hearing of it.

I don't have a trailer, so I'd have to drive 25 miles each way to and from the track with whatever tires I do end up buying. Not opposed to slicks, but just want to make sure this is the best option before I spend the cheese. I want 11's.

Run a drag radial at your own risk. I wouldn't.

Ive been running slicks for sometime and havent had an issue.. As others have said practice practice. You might get 12.9 or some where around that

I drive to the track on slicks all the time. I don't even air them up. It's no big deal. Be careful and avoid any road debris.

Slick for stick definitely. The hit to the driveline is way softer and if you want 11s you'll need to get that 60 down to 1.6 or lower and a slick is the only predictable way to do that.

I'm at 11.9 at 115 on a mild tune with a fully loaded car. It is possible but, you need a slick tire to do it.

There's not a thing wrong with running drag radials on a stick car. I've put quite a few miles (over 1000) on my 2011 5.0 M6 with Drag Radials. It's just a street car, but I've pulled a 1.63 60-foot time on 305/35-19 DRs (and UPR suspension)

Respectfully disagree, having used both, on this car and others. On a street car for driving around, radials are fine but at the strip, the hit the driveline takes is much harder with drag radials plus MTand that does break stuff.

I've lost count of how many times I've launched my car over 5,000 rpms on drag radials with an MT-82.

I ran my 14' 5.0 12.9 @110.5 in the 1/4 mile stock had a drag radial on.

I put on an MPT tune and lethal performacne O/R X pipe, ran dumps off the X pipe, 3.15 gear, on a 275/60/15 ET Street and went 12.1 @ 116.3

Since that I've installed an airraid, removed trunk items and carpet/ insulation/ rear seats/ front pass seat/ front sway bar/ full dragpack / and a retune and went 11.8 @ 118

Shes gettin there, waiting on a 3c stall, TB Built transbrake, and Nitrous Express system with a maximizer. Hoping to grab mid 10's on a 150 shot.

You ain't kidding. I was one of the only people in the world to lift the front tires of a naturally aspirated 3.7 mustang 7-8" off the ground launching in a stick with MT ET Streets. I would have preffered a slick, but i did prove quite a few people wrong with how well those damn things would hook lol.
