Default Moved battery and ECU - now no start

Recently removed battery box and ECU to get to the headers. And now the key will turn on all lights, gauges, radio, chimes, etc. but will not kick over the starter. I judged the starter with cables and it spins and turns the engine over but it won't run. I can't hear the fuel pump pressurize when I turn the key on and can smell raw gasoline coming out of headers. No spark? Does anyone know what could possibly cause something like this from just unplugging the ECU and moving it out of the way?

its obviously something you touched, i would check for codes, if thats not possible. go back and disassemble again, and check all connections and harness routing.

I kind of assumed it was bc I touched it, but I don't see how taking 4 ground wires off and 3 ecu harnesses causes me to have power to everything except the starter and spark plugs. Unless it's another ford PATS thing where removing the ecu tripped security.......... I just spent 3 hours putting headers on and can't even hear it run!

if the pats was tripped the red theft light would be flashing while attempting to start, if a pin came loose in one of the connectors you touched it could cause a poor contact and an open circuit which could cause your problem

check the PCM for any bent pins in the connectors. these cars have "tip start" where the starter is controlled by the PCM and not directly by the ignition switch. The PCM might not be seeing the request for engine start, or may not be triggering the starter solenoid circuit.

if you have a little hand held scanner, you can plug it in and clear the codes, regardless of whether or not there are any codes. clear it, turn the key off and try to start it.

sometimes cars freak out when the batteries are disconnected.

Changed your thread title - more likely to get someone to stop to look and comment with a descriptive title rather than just "Helppp!"
