Hi, I have a 2013 GT/CS. Until a week ago I had no idea my tail lights were not working until someone pulled up next to me at a stop light and was like "hey, do you know your tail lights are out?". What's weird is that the tail lights still blink when I hit the lock button on the key fob, and the blinkers and brake lights work. I noticed a water leak in my trunk the other day after heavy rain and hoping some wires didn't short out. Of course now I'm at 56k miles and out of the B2B warranty so a trip to the dealership won't be covered. Has anyone had this issue? Hoping it might be something as simple as a fuse, but I'm clueless..

both taillights are out? I would start with fuses. Hopefully it's not a problem with the BCM...

Yes, both tail lights are out... but the blinkers and brake lights work.. so weird

Well, job one since you know you had a water leak is to disconnect the plugs, clean them with contact cleaner, regrease with dielectric grease (any parts store carries these things). Then see how you fare. The brake lights and hazards are on a separate circuit from the running lights so, it isn't that weird, really.

Forgot to post the fix...
It turns out it was simply the 15amp fuse which is in position 22 in the front passenger seat fuse box. After this has happened twice, I realized that it was blowing due to some cheap *** ebay "white LEDs" that I was putting in the license plate lights. For some reason these cheap ones (2.99) kept blowing that fuse. I guess it pays to buy the good Raxium ones from AmericanMuscle.com

yes i have 14 gt and mine leaked from the intake cabin filtera leaf clogged up hole and water poured on my fuseboxit took 3 trys to eal it 13 gromett holes and i used my kan filter old one after i cleaned and dig out the rubber do dad in hole get rid of it.also w auto silocone seal all around class and doors but its under windshield wiper areas

I have a 2017 mustang gt with only the left side taillight working! Anyone know how to fix this? It does light up when I hit the unlock button!
