Adjusting Stock rocker arms

What is the easiest way to adjust stock rocker arms? Installing a new set of heads on a buddy's car and he is using the stock rockers.

Assuming your still using the pedestal mount rockers, you will need a shim kit. Crane makes one and are usually stocked by most parts houses.

If using the stock heads and push rods no need for adjusting the rockers. Just TQ down to spec i think 15 to 19 foot pounds

They are not stock heads but are pedestal mount. So we will need a shim kit??
