Maybe from a performance perspective, but I still don't consider it a "supercar". I hear supercar and I think Carrera GT and Saleen S7, among others.

Damn man this thread got a bit off track. Maybe as the author I should toss my 2 cents in.

I personaly have my car setup for straight line right now. No sway bars pretty much tosses out any chance I have at a twistys race.
But honestly I want to smack people who think a cobra can't be made to run track and with very little mods.
Possibly some of the cobra road racers could chime in every once in a while when this is braught up?
I know it's hard for one out of the four of you guys to be on to read these posts but still... hehe.. Seriously though cobra + nice suspention = very good road race car.


Back to the bit about 200k car vs 30k car lets not kid ourselves, if you had a canoe and someone offered you a 72 foot ferretti in trade would you turn it down? Obviously not. Same situation.
None the less the arguement can be made that my purpose built drag car ran down a stock exotic car.

The arguement can go back and forth but in the end it shouldent be about what if. Run what ya brung, and if you brung the slower car, take the loss with sportsmanship.

 

Yeah but it sure makes me feel cool reading about it even tho when I think "supercar" I too think FERRARI MASERATI etc etc etc......you know cars that I will never own!! haha I would love to rent one tho just to feel what they are like.

Yes. I'd still take a slower F430 over it though (if each were offered as a gift).
