I just put stock springs back on my mach1 due to clearance issues. The car already had HP Blues on it when I bought it. I am now getting a loud clunking noise when I hit a sharp bump or broken pavement (everythings fine over smooth bumps). The ball joints and tie rod ends don't have any play in them and I didn't any noise the day before I changed the springs. Can the new spring rates be too high for the HP Blues? It seems that the travel is not quite right and the strut is too short for the new ride height (1.75" higher). Is there another strut that will work well with stock spring rates or is the oem best?
