Default Car won't start... no spark

NO spark at coil..

The dist rotor spins fine
New plugs/wires/rotor/cap
replaced coil

With ignition "on" there is only 2V at every injector red wire and 2V on red wire on MAF

Isn't it supposed to be 12V?

Checked fuses under hood and all were good

I bought a new ignition control module but haven't put it on yet.

What should I DO!!!??? Im stumped

put the tfi module on and see if that corrects if not it may have a bad stator in the distributor which generates what is known as the PIP signal which is sent to the ecm where it takes all info provided from input sensors to create a signal known as SPOUT = SPARK OUTPUT....the spout signifies engine operation condition and is sent back to the tfi module for comparison with the PIP signal, the tfi then uses both of those signals to fire the ignition coil at the proper timing intervals...so if you have power at the coil but no spark output from it, either the PIP signal from stator is missing or a bad tfi that doesn't interpret the SPOUT from ecm..........that's to say all secondary ignition components are in proper working order....ie, cap rotor and wires ect ect

it could also be the coil itself, i know i've run into that before. where we got no spark so we threw a tfi at it, for some reason my friend was convinced it wasnt getting fuel even though it reeked of it...... so he went and got a new pump, etc etc anyway he thew all these parts at it but... it turned out JUST to be the coil. and you can pick up a msd one for like 40-45 bucks at the parts store

Already put a new coil on it

The coil red wire is only getting .2V with the ignition on

ALSO, I can crank it for a long time and still smell no fuel....

No spark

I tried hotwiring the coil off the red wire. AS soon as I put power to it my fan turned on. I tried cranking and the rpm meter jumped up and just got stuck.. still no fuel though. I think it would crank but the fuel pump isn't even priming.

I had a similar issue but it was because my wires to my sylinoid weren't hooked up correctly. Hope this helps. All I did was looked at another friends stang as a reference when I was troubleshooting. it was obvious my wires were wrong.
