That statement right there speaks volumes...

I am not trying to bust on you, really...but there are many old timers here that know what they are talking about.

Doing 130 on a track is dangerous, but one has dramatically better control over the environment and you mitigate a majority of the risks involved in high speed travel. No wildlife, no trash, propper road surface, no obstacles...etc. Those variables are what will put you in your grave on the street.
