When I had my first car (88 4banger) it would bottom out like you're talking about. Im sure it was because of the massive stereo I had in it (2 jlaudio w6 18's, PPI 1800w amp

). Im so sure because it didnt start until after I installed it, lol. A quick fix that worked for me was some spring spacers that I bought from advance auto parts. They were just wrenched in between the coils of the springs. Worked for me all the way until I sold the car.
