theres a sensor where the distributor goes on the explorer engine. remove the sensor and place the distributor in its place. i did this swap about 5 years ago but put a lunati cam in it cause the explorer cam isn't that great for a performance car. your gonna make good power with the gt-40p's. mine put down 409rwhp with a 10psi vortech. also theres a coolant sensor that goes in the lower manifold for the mustangs. the explorer doesn't have this so it has to be drilled and tapped. good luck.
