Default opening a sealed beam headlight?

I have a 1993 Mustang Cobra and the headlights appear to be foggy. Someone told me to remove them and polish the inside. I removed them but not sure how to open them up. They appear to be sealed (perhaps glued). Do i just cut them open along the seam (maybe with a dremel), polish the inside and seal them up perhaps with some type of sealant? (or should i just go out and get new lights

thx.

Getting new lights would be the easiest thing to do, but if not you'll need to break the seal, dremel is a good way to start [8D]

I had a similar problem with my headlights on my 95 gt. I just used a little clear silicone sealant around the seal of the headlight. When the headlight is on it dries out the water/fog. I did that about 8 months ago and they still look good.

yeah mine did that right after i washed it to put in a car show. it was only the right front all i did was i took it out n sprayed it alot with the air compressor n put a heat gun in it at the low temperature and jus let it sit n tha moisture evaporated. i dunno if urs has moisture er not but if u wanna polish em u gotta break tha seal on it.
