$467 with parts and labor is not outrageous but not a bargain. 350 would be pretty cheap.

Yeah that's a good deal. Did you reuse the bearings? Most people replace the bearings and shims. Did you know these people? AKA, dads shop lol. j/k

I did my forged axle 31 spline set up on an ultra cheap budget and replaced all bearings and shims.

$35 Used explorer 31 spline diff. ebay
$45 rebuild kit for diff and friction modifier (I rebuilt the diff myself with 1 extra clutch per side).
$35 used 3.73's from a ranger ebay
$100 Rebuild kit from brenspeed, all bearings, shims, ring bolts marking fluid, diff gasket etc. (minus axle bearings cheaper that way and I knew the axles came with them)
$205 USA ALLOY 31 spline axles with axle bearing and wheel studs
$20 gear oil (no friction modifier needed because diff rebuild kit comes with it, a Penny saved is a penny earned)
$250 labor for complete rebuild, welded axle tubes, welded torque boxes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$690

I use to think I did a great job until I seen your deal.
