Most people that say get bolt ons first never actually get the SC. But a Sc actually makes what I consider significant hp for the money.
It's supposed to be fun so no one should feel pressured to buy anything they don't want or can't afford. But once you have one you'll always wonder why you waited.
The op should just buy what makes him happy, but I suggest doing research and listening to others who already been where they're at now.
He seems content on going with bolt on's first so that's what he should do, If he still likes the car 1 or 2 years down the road then invest in the SC if he still wants to. After all it's not cheap and you'll never get the investment back.

I hear ya. Im in a position to land a pretty good job(for me) 16 bucks an hour(compared to the 9 i make now lol) ...So im going to save up for a Bronco hopefully and use that a my DD. If i do that i will for sure get blowedddd in the vert. My next car either a 96-98 cobra or an s2000 will get a turbo right off the bat.
