Hands down you go with a Nissan if you're gonna buy a new car and dependability is important. I have 2 maxima's, my wife drives the altima, my mother has a 350z conv and my father has a matching 350z roadster.

1st 1998 Maxima - 185k runs awesome - normal brakes, oil, tires -- owned since 35k
2nd 2006 Maxima - 11k - perfect
Altima 2005 - 60k - replaced tires and brakes..owned since new.
Mom 2005 350z Conv. - 22k - no issues
Dad 2006 350z - 13k - no issues

2001 Mustang GT -- 38k ---- Owned for 6 weeks
1. Replaced fuel pump
2. Replaced gromet and filler neck on fuel tank
3. Replaced front and rear brakes
Closing in on needing a clutch.
