2nd bold: you obviously dont get the fact that Ford doesnt produce motors with high HP for a reason PRICE.. if they did that the car would be in a price range well out of its public appeal. I will never pay more than 35k for a mustang.. anything more and im getting a damn BMW or something..at least it will handle worth a damn and be quick.

It doesn't matter if it gets more than 100hp per liter. The point is the new camaro will be coming out with 422 hp for the same price as the 370Z. WTF would someone spend the same amount on the Z for, when the Camaro will toss it's salad (if you're strictly speaking of straightline performance)?
Secondly, Of course price is the reason for Ford being arrogant with their underpowered cars. What you obviously don't get is if they mass produce the "cammer 5.0 modular engine" that they sell in their Ford Racing manual it will cost much less for them to produce it. By upping the price of their vehicle by about $5,000 it would offset the cost of dropping in that motor. This would put the price range at the same as the Z and the Camaro, and the Mustang would be the top dog in terms of performance.
Your next argument may be that the cammer costs $15k in the Ford Racing book, and speaking from a business standpoint, that wouldn't be an economically smart decision to drop that motor in the Mustang for only 5k over what current sticker is. What people often overlook is the current 3v GT motor if purchased as a crate motor is 6k+. The cammer 5.0 motor if mass produced wouldn't cost them $15k to make, there is a good amount of profit figured into that figure (just like the 3v crate motor). So if you deducted the savings from mass production, along with the difference in profit from the 3v crate to the 5.0 cammer, you would be at the same number if you upped the price on the GT. So by applying a 5k increase to current sticker, it would offset their cost to produce it, keep the same profit margin they currently have with the 3v, and make customers happy.
Or again they could keep the GT at the current price, add a Boss mustang for 5k more with the cammer motor, and then everyone would be happy. People that aren't only into power could settle for a GT. People that are into power, but don't have the money to spend over $35k for a car could buy the Boss and basically dominate the streets.
