I think it's just the new coating. Realistically 295 is a big tire. With no blower there's no reason to be spinning like that. I say burn off the finish on them and you will get the traction you want.

BTW i need more pics NOW!!!!!! I was thinking of getting the same wheels for my car. I also think your taste in paint for the car is a good one
